Final Fire Pro Complete - Change of direction

I've spent the last few days thinking about this project. I make a save for every game/group of games and I have Super Tiger crop up in most of them I've put together. Why? So I'm consistent? So I have every wrestler from that group on one save?

Well my change in direction is having a save per style or promotion. The reasons:

  • Fewer save packs if I stick multiple style/promotions together
  • No repetitiveness in saves e.g. Super Tiger, Enson Inoue cropping up in every save
  • More freedom for extras.
Today I've been reorgnaising the MMA/Worked MMA save. I've completed most of them from the PCe games right through to 6MS and G. I've also thrown in a few extras from various places:

  1. Super Tiger
  2. Dick Vrij
  3. Chris Dolman
  4. Yuko Miyato
  5. Masaaki Satake
  6. Andy Hug
  7. Maurice Smith
  8. Manabu Yamada
  9. Randy Couture
  10. Valentijn Overeem
  11. Akira Shoji
  12. Caol Uno
  13. Katsumi Usuda
  14. Dan Severn
  15. Enson Inoue
  16. Rumina Sato
  17. Brian Johnston
  18. Hans Nymnas
  19. Guy Mezger
  20. Kenichi Yamamoto
  21. Tony Halme
  22. Mike Bernardo
  23. Takeshi Ono
  24. Brock Lesnar (MMA)
  25. Wataru Sakata
  26. Hidehiko Yoshida
  27. Bob Sapp
  28. Ryushi Yanagisawa*
  29. Katsuyori Shibata*
  30. Matt Ghaffari
  31. Dan Bobbish*
  32. Fedor Emelienen*
  33. Kevin Randleman*
  34. Quinton Jackson*
  35. Musashi*
  36. Katsuhiko Ogasawara*
  37. Willie Williams
  38. Tatsuo Nakano
  39. Rocky Balboa
  40. Batman
  41. Robin
  42. Terrible Ted
* To Complete

So that is MMA-style fighters from PCe, SNES, FPG, 6MS, FPD, Official Edit, FPZ and FPR, plus some of the default wrestlers from SFPWS&X giving a total of 42. I've also added in Brock Lesnar from a previous save I created. I'm off work for the next few weeks now, so I'm hoping to have this save finished soon and some others up ASAP.

Thank you too for the congratulatory comment last post :)

FFP Complete: Fire Pro G and 6 Man Scramble

I've spent a little time over this weekend completing the FPG and 6MS save. So far I've completed:

These do include logic and move sets on their most recent appearance in the Fire Proverse. I'm still working on Funaki, MEN'S Teioh, Kenichi Yamamoto, Tony Halme, Psicosis, Konnan, Animal Hamaguchi, Big Titan, Headhunter A, Headhunter B, Mike Bernado and Takeshi Ono as well as copying others from the SNES, Portable and Official Edits packs.

Another thought that jumped in to my head the other day was "Why are there so many edit slot empty at the end?". My plan with creating these saves was that it would be impossible to fit every edit in to one save, but now I have lots of saves with 20+ edits. So I've also decided I will add extra edits from each collection of games through the presets. It may add a little time on to creating each pack but I think it'll make the whole project more worthwhile.

In other news, I'm still playing Heroes of Ruin on 3DS. I've finally got around to maxing my main characters level so I'm just grinding away on the daily and weekly challenges. If anyone wants to join me, now the game is out in the states, my 3DS friend code is 0087-2886-9002 and my name is "Sam". Just send me your friend code and name via a PM, e-mail or comment so I can add you.

I can't remember announcing it but I've also completed my PGCE (Professional Graduates Certificate in Education) so after graduation I will be a fully qualified lecturer.

Final Fire Pro Complete - A small update

I spent a good few hours this morning sorting through some old saves and game hacks to find a hefty chunk of edits I need for the SNES Fire Pro games so I'm hoping to have another pack out soon. I've finished what work I wanted to do on the Official Spike edits pack but I'm so close to completing the SNES one I'll save it until then.

My next plan is to start working on Fire Pro G and 6MS. I want to whole collection to be finished by the end of August but I think I said that last August :P

Random Postings

I'm in the mood for an update so here we go!

I usually get quite involved in Fire Pro this time of the year. It's usually because work starts to drop off a bit and I can get away with doing Fire Pro stuff in the office. Mid-week I did complete designing a list of edits and saves for the Fire Pro Complete project I'm working on, however my flash drive died and I have lost EVERYTHING. Well the massive long list of wrestlers anyway. A bit of a pain.

I'm currently working on the Fire Pro D and Spike Edit saves. I've already got most of the edit completed, I just have to do some checks. I won't confirm a release date but it's high on the list of priorities.

Project FFP Complete - Portable

Well I've talked about this previously and have released parts of it, but I've decided this will be one of my main focuses in terms of Fire Pro over the next few months/years. To bring your all to speed:

I want to create every single wrestler ever to appear in a Fire Pro Wrestling game.

The first download is available here!

This will be quite a big task and the project will be made of several saves, each representing a certain game or platform of Fire Pro. I'm still in the planning stages but I do have quite a few hundred edits completed so far, I just need to organise them. Here's an outline of what I want to do and I'll post roster lists as I start working on the save:

PS2 - NJPW & MMA
Missing wrestling from FPR&Z that were in the NJPW, Team 2000, Zero-One, Pancrase and MMA rosters.

PS2 - AJPW, NOAH & Osaka Pro
Missing wrestling from FPR&Z that were in the AJPW, NOAH and Osaka Pro rosters.

PS2 - Michinoku, DragonGate & Joshi
Missing wrestling from FPR&Z that were in the Michinoku, DragonGate, AAA and Joshi rosters.

PS2 - Free
Missing wrestling from FPR&Z that were in the America, Free, BJPW and FMW rosters.

Portable
Missing wrestling from Fire Pro 1/A, 2 and WonderSwan

FPD
Missing wrestling from Fire Pro D

FPD - Official Edits
The official edits for Fire Pro D

FPG&6MS
Missing wrestlers from FPG and 6MS

FPQS
Missing wrestlers from Queens Special

SFPWXP
Missing wrestlers from SNES FP games.

So quite a task ahead but something I've wanted to do for ages.

Anyway, I feel I have a reputation of promising things that never appear so I'm also giving out the first complete save today too; Fire Pro Portable. This contains:

New Japan Pro Wrestling
Brian Johnston
Kuniaki Kobayashi

Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling

Kyoko Inoue

New Logos and Additional Name Fixes

Happy Spring Bank Holiday!

A couple of updates on both patches

Translation - 04.06.2012
A few minor name changes and fixes for the Fire Pro names. Nothing exciting but should tidy the whole lot up a bit more.

Full Patch - 04.06.2012
I've replaced the logos for WPA and AWG with their counterparts from Fire Pro Wrestling A (WFW and WWC). Have a look!

I've also included a "WFW & WWC" patch that will just change the logos in case you want to use it with the translation patch. If you're doing this just remember to apply the translation patch and then the logo one.

Coming Soon...
Currently I have a few costumes and recolours to work on. I should have more stuff up soon!

Tearing it up!

I've been working on and off with FFPW this year with little progress and no actual updates... Until recently.

I initially started by working through each costume and doing a little mainteance work, either re-ordering costumes or adding some new ones. However it the last few weeks a follower contacted me (Shan't disclose names) with suggestions and ideas.

So my action plan for the next few weeks is:
1. Updating costumes - Carry on with what I'm doing plus take my benefactors comments in to account.
2. Translation Names - Translate the names for everyone in the "Translation Only" patch to their Fire Pro name e.g. Fighter Yamato.
3. Put the WFW and WWC logos into FFPW, replacing the other WCW and WWF ones.

Nothing ground breaking but hopefully some nice additions. Dojo mode is still on the list of course, however I really can't be bothered.

Anyway, please direct all further questions to me via comments, e-mail (fpw_tigermask@hotmail.com) or FPC.

Re-Upped Patch and Small Update

Evening all.
It's been a few months so I thought I'd update (Plus I had a comment so...).

Anyway, most importantly a link to the patch for non-FPC'ers. I've only included the complete patch (Translation, Costumes, other updates etc.) and it's available from:

FFPW - Patch 18 December 2011

I've also included the save containing wrestlers from every portable FPW game. Use it if you fancy!

In terms of updates, I've not got much to report but I do want to organise and update costumes and of course the save so that it reflects 2012.

As always I would love feedback/suggestions. Just leave them in the comments!

I've not really made much progress with the saves that I haven't already shared. I've been stuck to the 3DS (Up for Friend Code exchange if anyone else plays it!).
