It's only been a few months since my last past but I've been slowly chipping away at an update for a while. For a full detailed release history, check out my previous posts.
FFPW - 2016 - 1.0
- Translated all previous text in a clean ROM
- Transferred translated images
- Costume updates for some wrestlers
- Couple of graphical fixes (Darkside Hayabusa head loads correctly now)
Pre-2016
- MOR Translated
- Menus and interfaces translated for various modes
- Original colours given to all costumes
- New costumes added for almost every wrestler
Future Updates
- Fix images - I did them in Paint years ago with the plan to do a decent job at some point.
- Costumes and updating - New costumes and rearranging the costume order for the defaults
- Improve MOR translations - There was a bit of poetic licence used with parts of the translation that I would like to smarten up
- I'm adding the finishing touches to the 1989 - 1996 save file. Hopefully news soon!
- Training mode translation - It's been on the list for years. I'll do it eventually
Any feedback, advice, suggested fixes/translations, new costumes or absolutely anything would be very much appreciated!
Thank you

6. Inoki 'Bom-Ba-Ye' theme
7. Hiroyoshi Tenzan's theme

New project and stuff...
Hello all (All one person reading this... Am I right?). I've just started out a new project following along the lines of my passion for wrestling, I'm hoping to have more details to share soon but there's not much at the moment. I'm working in Stencyl and I'm not sure whether this will see light of day on Newgrounds or maybe Android. It's not your typical wrestling game, you'll mostly be in a management position in a similar strain to Management of the Ring from FFPW. The game is going to focus on how you manage your wrestler and what choices you make impact on their career.
Speaking of MOR, I've finally rooted my PSP and have Final Fire Pro on it. I'm not planning anything other than a bit of fun but if anything interesting comes of it, I'll be sure to share. I've also setup a rather extensive Doom compendium cover Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, No Rest for the Living, Final Doom and Master Levels of Doom 2 all on my PSP, chuck in Final Fantasy 7 and the 14 year old me would totally lose his shit!
I'm still playing my 3DS almost religiously. My top picks for the moment?
Monster Hunter Ultimate 3
Luckily I hadn't registered my 3DS on Club Nintendo and NoE just so happened to be running the "Hunt with a Friend" promotion, so I bought a code online. almost a year later and I've made a start on it. It's really good fun and I'm a bit shocked it's not pushing the 3DS sales. Huge environments and an excellent level of depth to it. I would give this a total recommendation making owning a 3DS worthwhile on it's own.
Tomodachi Life
Go back to 2009 and I was on holiday in Tokyo. Around this time there were adverts aplenty for Tomodachi Collection. Fast-forward to present and I've now got the UK version for 3DS. I've made quite a community featuring my favourite wrestlers, actors, the cast of my name is earl and the odd comedian.

- Randy from My Name is Earl singing "Time After Time"

- Walter White in a rap battle with Anthony Hopkins
Low Points
- I've got a prison cell for Anthony Hopkins but no prison clothes or Dr Lecter mask
- Thor won't pair off with Lady Sif. It just wasn't meant to be

FFPW - ECW Returns
I've been a roll tonight so I'm going to keep going.
This scenario is aptly named ECW Returns. It does the following:
This scenario is aptly named ECW Returns. It does the following:
- Replaces FMW with ECW
- Puts FMW roster into the Japanese freelance pool
- Add Terry Funk, Sabu, RVD, Mike Awesome, Masato Tanaka, Chris Benoit and the Dudley Boys to the ECW roster (Dudley Boys must be unlocked by scouting or cheat code)
- Terry Funk is the heavyweight champion
- Dudley Boys are tag champions
- New logo and start location for ECW and changed a few popularity parameters to fit
FFPW - Death of Misawa
I started work on this in December last year and have finally finished it. Granted I have done nothing with this between December and today, but I think it's pretty complete. MOR is updated with a new scenario that follows from the death of Mitsuharu Misawa and how the Fire Pro-verse has gone from there. NJPW, WWE and UFC are the only promotions doing well, the rest are declining with small rosters. I've not included a save for this scenario. There are more details on FPWArena and you can download the IPS here.

Final Fire Pro Complete - Change of direction
I've spent the last few days thinking about this project. I make a save for every game/group of games and I have Super Tiger crop up in most of them I've put together. Why? So I'm consistent? So I have every wrestler from that group on one save?
Well my change in direction is having a save per style or promotion. The reasons:
- Fewer save packs if I stick multiple style/promotions together
- No repetitiveness in saves e.g. Super Tiger, Enson Inoue cropping up in every save
- More freedom for extras.
Today I've been reorgnaising the MMA/Worked MMA save. I've completed most of them from the PCe games right through to 6MS and G. I've also thrown in a few extras from various places:
- Super Tiger
- Dick Vrij
- Chris Dolman
- Yuko Miyato
- Masaaki Satake
- Andy Hug
- Maurice Smith
- Manabu Yamada
- Randy Couture
- Valentijn Overeem
- Akira Shoji
- Caol Uno
- Katsumi Usuda
- Dan Severn
- Enson Inoue
- Rumina Sato
- Brian Johnston
- Hans Nymnas
- Guy Mezger
- Kenichi Yamamoto
- Tony Halme
- Mike Bernardo
- Takeshi Ono
- Brock Lesnar (MMA)
- Wataru Sakata
- Hidehiko Yoshida
- Bob Sapp
- Ryushi Yanagisawa*
- Katsuyori Shibata*
- Matt Ghaffari
- Dan Bobbish*
- Fedor Emelienen*
- Kevin Randleman*
- Quinton Jackson*
- Musashi*
- Katsuhiko Ogasawara*
- Willie Williams
- Tatsuo Nakano
- Rocky Balboa
- Batman
- Robin
- Terrible Ted
* To Complete
So that is MMA-style fighters from PCe, SNES, FPG, 6MS, FPD, Official Edit, FPZ and FPR, plus some of the default wrestlers from SFPWS&X giving a total of 42. I've also added in Brock Lesnar from a previous save I created. I'm off work for the next few weeks now, so I'm hoping to have this save finished soon and some others up ASAP.
Thank you too for the congratulatory comment last post :)

FFP Complete: Fire Pro G and 6 Man Scramble
I've spent a little time over this weekend completing the FPG and 6MS save. So far I've completed:
These do include logic and move sets on their most recent appearance in the Fire Proverse. I'm still working on Funaki, MEN'S Teioh, Kenichi Yamamoto, Tony Halme, Psicosis, Konnan, Animal Hamaguchi, Big Titan, Headhunter A, Headhunter B, Mike Bernado and Takeshi Ono as well as copying others from the SNES, Portable and Official Edits packs.
Another thought that jumped in to my head the other day was "Why are there so many edit slot empty at the end?". My plan with creating these saves was that it would be impossible to fit every edit in to one save, but now I have lots of saves with 20+ edits. So I've also decided I will add extra edits from each collection of games through the presets. It may add a little time on to creating each pack but I think it'll make the whole project more worthwhile.
In other news, I'm still playing Heroes of Ruin on 3DS. I've finally got around to maxing my main characters level so I'm just grinding away on the daily and weekly challenges. If anyone wants to join me, now the game is out in the states, my 3DS friend code is 0087-2886-9002 and my name is "Sam". Just send me your friend code and name via a PM, e-mail or comment so I can add you.
I can't remember announcing it but I've also completed my PGCE (Professional Graduates Certificate in Education) so after graduation I will be a fully qualified lecturer.

New Logos and Additional Name Fixes
Happy Spring Bank Holiday!
I've also included a "WFW & WWC" patch that will just change the logos in case you want to use it with the translation patch. If you're doing this just remember to apply the translation patch and then the logo one.
A couple of updates on both patches
Translation - 04.06.2012
A few minor name changes and fixes for the Fire Pro names. Nothing exciting but should tidy the whole lot up a bit more.
Full Patch - 04.06.2012
I've replaced the logos for WPA and AWG with their counterparts from Fire Pro Wrestling A (WFW and WWC). Have a look!

Currently I have a few costumes and recolours to work on. I should have more stuff up soon!

Re-Upped Patch and Small Update
Evening all.
It's been a few months so I thought I'd update (Plus I had a comment so...).
Anyway, most importantly a link to the patch for non-FPC'ers. I've only included the complete patch (Translation, Costumes, other updates etc.) and it's available from:
FFPW - Patch 18 December 2011
I've also included the save containing wrestlers from every portable FPW game. Use it if you fancy!
In terms of updates, I've not got much to report but I do want to organise and update costumes and of course the save so that it reflects 2012.
As always I would love feedback/suggestions. Just leave them in the comments!
I've not really made much progress with the saves that I haven't already shared. I've been stuck to the 3DS (Up for Friend Code exchange if anyone else plays it!).

Robin Sparrow
Just watched 23. Why would you call your son "Robin Sparrow"? Also, I've written a similar book about Fire Pro, it lists every error in my translation since I started. My error messages and doodles of me as a cowboy haven't got me locked away but I do like to hide this book...
I'm working on two saves, I've changed the Complete Portable one so that it only has A, 2 and WS wrestlers in. I've also created the appearances for every Official Spike edit for FPD, I'm working through logic and the rest. I also mucked about with other things. I made a few Marvel, He-man and Street Fighter edits. Nothing I like but I've managed to make stuff I've not before. I made an awesome Hordak and an all right Spiderman, considering the restrictions of Edit Mode in FFPW.
I'm playing Management of the Ring once again as my own promotion. I'm running SWA as a hardcore promotion, the roster is essentially I hybrid of FMW and ECW circa the mid 90's. I stole Foley and Awesome from WWE and also hi-jacked the TNA title. My only problem is that I keep getting hassled by K-1 for a versus show, I know they will hammer me!

Final Fire Pro Anthology Saves
After my most recent patch, I've decided to throw myself in to saves and edits again. One of my goals was to port every single wrestler ever to appear in Fire Pro to FFPW. Obviously there is a limit of edit slots that will hinder this but I was thinking of splitting the project in to several saves:
Human Save: 1989 - 1994
Human Save: 1995 - 1999
Human Save: Fire Pro G
Human Save: Joshi Pro (All Joshi games)
Spike Save: Portable (WonderSwan, Fire Pro A, 2 and Final)
Spike Save: Fire Pro D
Spike Save: Fire Pro D - Official Edits
Spike Save: Fire Pro Z
Spike Save: Fire Pro R (I don't know how many saves this will be made of but a fair few)
It's going to take a fair while to put it together but it's something I've wanted to do since I found the Fire Pro Wrestling Complete. The obvious start for me is the portable save, I just need to tidy up the one I give away with the patch.
I'm also doing similar with R, I'm making slow progress because me and the Mrs are currently fighting for the TV (Bought Skyrim last week :P). Anyway, I'll keep you all posted, any suggestions or ideas, please let me know.
I'm also still keen to accept edit requests. If anyone has any, please post them here or PM on FPC.

More MOR
Hi all!
I've been off of editing for a few weeks (Other than a translation-only version of the patch that is) and am missing it. My plan/suggestion is new MOR patches! What I would like to do is change MOR so that it reflects a certain time or scenario. I'll create a template (Below) and you guys can send me any MOR suggestions in this template, I'll then create them as best I can.
Send them to me at fpw_tigermask@hotmail.com

Back on the 'net
Well it's been a few weeks for me without the Internet and it turns out keeping this blog has kept me focused on Fire Pro. I've written at least 10 entries in the last few weeks that I couldn't post because the blogger app I have is poo so I'll get all two of my followers up to speed...
First of all, I moved in to my new house at the start of September. It's near enough the opposite side of town but it was still a pain to drive. I'm closer to work and my gym now so that's all good. I no longer live in a basement looking out in to a possible Fallout 3 location. The house needs some care but we got out the old person smell (I'm certain someone has died here in the last 5 years). Three days after moving in I was back at work... sigh!
I focused a lot on cleaning up Fire Pro during September. I bought myself a nice little "Sonic the Hedgehog" notebook to write in to remind myself what I need to fix and do. My biggest problem was the glitched animation stuff with the press slam. This is all fixed now. I've also switched around costumes and made a couple of other minor changes. I hope to have a patch out as soon as I've fixed this dodgy leg stuff (See the Portable forum on FPC).
I spent some free time in October play testing. Very unlike me as I would normally just release the patch and hope for the best. This allowed me to fix additional bits and add to my notebook. I wonder how full my notebook would be if I'd kept one from the start? It would probably be full of cartoon pictures of Stan Hansen lariating my PGCE tutor...
I've also got back in to watching wrestling again. Between translating a wrestling game and being a pro-wrestler, you I found I stopped enjoying watching wrestling so much. This month I re-watched the IWA King of the Deathmatch, Best of Kenta Kobashi and disc two of the Tiger Mask collection. IWA was fun. The first time I watched it I was 16 and had just started looking outside WWE and WCW for stuff to watch. I bought a VHS off of eBay for about £3 and watched the thing in one sitting with a pack of beef jerky (This is a luxury in England as it is usually about £3 a bag!). I watched the Tiger Mask DVD as I'd bought it weeks before Misawa passed away and hadn't touched in since.
In other news I've been dead lifting like mad since August. My goal was to hit 200kgs before the end of October, that's about 441lbs or one Rikishi Phatu, or two and a half Rey Mysterio Jr's. Between moving, flu and a few weeks on full body training I don't think I'll make it. At my best I got to 180kgs for 5 reps. No one dead lifts in my gym really and I think it's an awesome exercise. A power lifter helped me tidy up my technique a few years back so hopefully I don't screw my back up.
Back to Fire Pro. My most recent projects have been trying to complete Management of the Ring with a created promotion, not an easy task. I've also started playing with FPR again. I downloaded a few awesome packs a while ago but I may realise my dream of creating a Fire Pro save that contains everyone from every Fire Pro game ever. In terms of stuff I may actually do, I'm going to start working a logos again. No promises but if anyone would like to help, please let me know.
All the best,
TM

All the best,
TM
